AquaWrap® systems are heavy-duty systems used for the rehabilitation and repair of transmission and distribution lines affected by corrosion or erosion. One of the greatest advantages of AquaWrap® systems is their versatility, as they can be applied in all environments (e.g., underwater ) and in complex geometries, such as T-connections, H-frames, elbows, straight sections, irregular surfaces, and confined spaces requiring structural reinforcement.
The system's adhesive properties allow the product to be applied to almost any type of substrate. AquaWrap is designed to provide the necessary strength, restoring the pipe to its original maximum operating pressure conditions without having to shut down production.
AquaWrap® is a low-cost composite system for use in the repair and reinforcement of existing mechanical systems, structures, and pipelines. Our compounds, impregnated with polyurethane resin, are odorless and nonflammable, ready to apply. They are ready to be applied straight out of the bag and cure through a chemical reaction with water applied in the field.
Once cured, it is a very durable material, impervious to fuels, most chemicals, and solvents. It adheres permanently to a wide variety of surfaces such as metals, composites, concrete, plastics, and wood.
Aquawrap® is available in a variety of E-glass and carbon fabrics to meet a wide range of applications. Our urethane resin system has excellent long-term strength characteristics and has been tested for toughness and compliance with the ASME PCC-2 composite pipe reinforcement standard.
